Gloria

It’s Christmas Day.  Our tiny savior, Jesus, is born to Mary and Joseph, the very epitome of a gift from God for all of us.  There is no need for a story today from me because He already holds the best story of all!  I chose the word gloria because the song you’ll listen to at the end filled me with joy because of this tiny miracle.  Many times, I’ve given you definitions of the words that I use, which helps me with a deeper insight to share with you.  I also hope we can learn something from their meanings, drawing us closer to words which we may have taken for granted.  Gloria means immortal, glory, fame, renown, praise, honor.  Reading all of these descriptives, I can just envision streaming rays of glorious light coming from that lowly manger today – Christmas Day!  It’s definitely the day to use this word “Gloria” to express our celebration.  Even for just a few moments today, in the midst of all the packages and fanfare, proclaim this word GLORIA!, and to shout His praise with joy, (even if it’s quietly from deep within) for our Savior’s birth, is the best story ever!  I pray that you and your family have a merry and blessed Christmas today.

“Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men.”         Luke 2:14
