Let me be one of the first to wish you a happy new year! I’m sure many of you are glad to see 2023 gone and looking forward to better days ahead in this new year. But many things have happened that have brought us safely and thankfully to this point. How do we start off the new year right? I was contemplating that question as I was walking on the treadmill, headphones on, listening to inspirational songs, and hoping to be inspired for a word for this week. However, as the music played on, I didn’t get one or two words, but a barrage of words, each sounding like a possibility. Why so many words and what was God trying to share? I thought of all the words He had me share with you this past year. Reminiscing, I think of all those words and how they’ve helped me in my journey. Maybe they were meant for me – maybe some words were meant for you specifically. Reminiscing on these words, is there one or two that you felt were spoken just for you? Did a story or song speak to you just at the right time, feeling Jesus’ presence next to you or embracing you at that moment? From God’s Lips words have been filled with my stories that helped me reminisce and witness how He has molded me into the woman of God I am today (imperfect but a work in progress). I would love to turn the tables and hear how one of From God’s Lips words has made an impact on you this year. If you are logged into www.fromgodslips.blog, you are able to scroll down and re-read all His words shared this year. What is speaking to you today and why? What was happening in your life when a particular word warmed your heart or challenged you to be stronger and a better follower? It may even be nice to journal your thoughts or share with a fellow believer (and me too). Reminiscing can stir our emotions, but as long as they help us move forward with much hope into the new year, following Jesus Christ, that’s the best resolution ever! I hope to hear from you about your journey with words From God’s Lips.
“I will remember the deeds of the Lord; yes, I will remember your wonders of old.” Psalm 77:11
