Complete

I need to take a positive spin on this word.  Complete brings up a little shiver inside me, as completing tasks is a challenge for me.  When I’m cleaning the house or working on a project, I find it very difficult to focus and complete a room.  Maybe you’re one of those individuals that find it easy to focus and get the job done, just one piece at a time.  That is definitely not me.  You would find me darting from room to room as I clean the house.  I pick up an item that may belong in another room and find myself now cleaning that room.  The rest is just a blur.  I find that it all gets completed, but very exhausting.  When I finally realized journaling these words and stories that I share from God’s Lips was a mission for me, I seemed to be able to focus and every week get the task done.  My original thought was writing thinking I could write a word and accompanying story every day.    Well, that didn’t last long – 365 positive words AND stories?  That was an overwhelming goal.   So, I think God recognized my panic and together we seemed to focus together on one word per week to share.  Now I could breathe – only one room to clean instead of the whole house syndrome.   During the process of writing the stories, I suddenly realized that this was prayer time for me too, giving me special time with Jesus.  I learned a lot about myself, even though drawing me deeper into my intention was sharing my stories with you.  faith.  Through these words that He speaks gives me special time with Him.  Each of us (yes, even you) has a special way that God is reaching out to you – desiring you to feel complete.  It may not even be in the way you think, but He is calling out to you.    All these positive words and stories that are spoken, From God’s Lips, is His unique way of helping me to feel complete – complete in Him.  So, if you are reading this and realize that you are craving to feel more complete, this is for you.  I believe that none of us will feel truly complete during our time on this earth, but He provides the way.  Jesus speaks to each of us but calls us differently.  One of us may hear His voice through words and stories, and another through taking more time in silence and prayer.  I always thought God spoke to everyone else but me – I just couldn’t recognize his voice.  Now I know differently.  I was too busy darting from room to room.  Thank you, Jesus, for helping me to feel more complete and leading each of us on our own unique journey.

“Then Eli realized that it was the Lord that was calling the boy, so he said to him, ‘Go back to bed; and if he calls you again say, ‘Speak Lord, your servant is listening.’”

  1. Donna,
Thank you for giving me the idea of praying while cleaning! I also go from room to room or task to task. I think praying while doing a task will help me stay focused and able to complete what I set out to do. I am keeping my fingers crossed. Thank you again!🙏🙏
