If you’ve been following us (that’s Jesus and me) each week by reading From God’s Lips, you probably know a little, through the stories shared, about some of my experiences and faith journey. But my stories are no match for the story we celebrate this coming week and every Christmas past. How can any of our stories even come close to telling THE story as divine as the birth of God’s own son? And the best part is His story will never come to an end.
When you and I look back on our own story, did you ever expect the hundreds (maybe more) of chapters you’ve been able to compile? Maybe there are some pages you would like to erase or relive, but it’s important to understand that the true author of your story has a purpose for our journey, both joyful and painful. Just as with Jesus’ story, ours is not written by luck or by chance. I hope you’ll take some quiet time to watch the song/video below and think of every step in our own lives that brought us through to now. Yes, each one of our stories are vastly different; and, like Jesus, God knew our story already before we were even conceived. And, as we write these words From God’s Lips just for you this Christmas, I believe Jesus wants you to know that you are the most important part of His story.
On this last week of Advent, I would encourage you to recognize your story that is always leading you closer to God and living the life He created for you alone. Thank you for reading my stories each week. It’s through my sharing that helps point me always towards His glory. May you be blessed abundantly during this CHRISTmas and throughout the whole new year.
