In the beginning . . . the word existed.

The Word was with God, and the Word was God.” Beginning – what an appropriate word use as a starting point. If you take a quiet moment, how many beginnings can you recall throughout your life? The first beginning is obvious, our birth. I recall a specific silent weekend retreat that I, and some members of our church, attended every year. One particular year, one of the facilitators asked that we draw a picture of the highlights of our journey – our beginnings throughout our life. Not being much an artist, I didn’t have much hope in creating a piece of award-winning art and I was even resistant to this crazy idea of identifying numerous beginnings in my life. But, as usual, God surprised me!

What I was able to create on paper of memorable turning points in my life opened my eyes to my unique journey of faith. I still have that drawing to this day! This is another new beginning for me. The beginning of sharing God’s word or, as my blog that I’ve been writing for many years is titled, “From God’s Lips.” I must acknowledge that the collection of positive words and accompanying stories on these pages, one for each week of the year are not my own creation. They are God’s words – words that come to my mind, which I am humbled to write for Him. He is the true author – He is the author of yours and my life! Together, let’s make him proud!

Come join me on this new beginning, full of surprises, and quiet moments with God. I pray that you will be inspired, humbled, and full of joy, knowing that God loves each of us in a very special way. I encourage you to include listening to the music chosen to compliment each work and the journaling page to write down your own throughts all throughout the year. I pray you will follow Jesus and me on this 52 week journey of growth in our faith.

“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.” John 1:1

I hope that you will consider sharing “From God’s Lips” blog with a friend, family member or maybe someone you just met that may need a positive word from God each week to inspire to grow their faith. Thank you.
