It’s been a journey these past weeks leading up to Easter Day. And I can’t believe we’ve celebrated with shouts of Hosannas on Palm Sunday already. What have you learned on your journey to the Cross with Jesus this Lent? Have you spent time with Him in the Garden, or have there been times you’ve fallen asleep?
I’ve attempted to stay close and awake with Him but have not always been successful. It’s one or two steps forward and some days a big step backwards. But during this Holy Week, after the fanfare of riding with Jesus with our palms raised in praise, we must proceed with a now solemn and difficult journey outside His garden. We must put ourselves in step with Jesus, as He walks that difficult walk, step by painful step to His destiny, The Cross. I have some powerful memories of when I participated in the Stations of the Cross with a likeminded group of spiritual women during our annual silent retreats.
If you are not familiar with this practice of reliving Jesus’ journey during this Holy Week, I encourage you to take 16 minutes of quiet time, listening to the music video below, gazing and reflecting upon His last hours. Walking this journey with Him is a way to show our solidarity as Christians, assuring Jesus that we will never leave His side. And when we have our days that we think are too much or we just can’t go on, I pray this video will remind you of what our Lord and Savior did for you and me. Our earthly journey will continue after He has risen. Will you choose to journey with or without him?
“The Lord himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged.” Deuteronomy 31:8

Oh my, that brought back some beautiful heart-warming memories! What special times those were. I love continuing this journey with you 😇
